Separated by Sight__ 2007
Flour. 3" x 16' x 23'

Separated by Sight is an installation of individual forms scattered throughout a space. Each form is created from thousands of small piles of sifted flour. The patterns of the forms are taken directly from photographic images including the tonal variations of the images, which is what determines the size of each pile. Through this process an abstraction is ceated from a reality leaving the defination to be answered from what we believe.
